Navy Blue Scrubs
So my upcoming job and graduation and looming nclex and ack! the responsibility!!! just got a little more real today! I stood in a dressing room and tried on navy blue scrubs today. Thanks to my beloved mom and Grandma Ginny's generosity, I bought two pair and ordered a third. I'm officially of the navy blue squad instead of the eggplant (or Barney depending on who you ask) purple. My way above and beyond wonderful friend Julie went way above and beyond and bought me new shoes so my poor feetsies can comfortable and stylish as opposed to comfortable and ugly nursing shoe white. Shoes maybe seem like an odd choice but they were an definitely an appropriate choice for Julie as she took an instant and fathoms deep hate towards my ugly white nursing shoes! In her defense... they are terrible. And in her defense... the girl does love her some shoes! I think if I had my student shoes in the store with us at the time of purchase she would have burned them right there in front of the sales associate! And my new shoes are so pretty! Gray and light purple- love them! Tomorrow I will be enjoying a relaxing massage from my sister. And last but not least, my dad got me the coolest book called Celebrating Nurses. It has all this history and these great historic pictures of nurses. I love books like that. I am feeling so loved by everyone! Graduation ceremony is tomorrow night. I will miss seeing all my friends regularly. I am so fond of everyone. I have several friends that are keepers, but I'll miss the ones that will float away as we move to different places. Tonight we had one last meeting with my Student Nursing Association Board. I think I somehow got elected to come back as the BSN liaison. HA! Oh well, its enjoyable to see everyone and I really enjoy having something to be involved in. I am getting so excited about seeing some of these positive changes take place and seeing the return on my immense investment. Oh and I won't mind getting a paycheck again either!

I am SO SO proud of you. You did it!!!! Can't wait until your graduation to cheer you on. Also, if I ever see those ugly, holey shoes again....I will burn them. :)
